Today lawyer Yaver Shahbazov from the Legal Education Society informed IRFS that their president, Intigam Aliyev, was detained at Istanbul Airport.
According to Yaver Shahbazov, Intigam Aliyev has already been provided with a lawyer. “The lawyer told us that Aliyev’s mobile telephone was confiscated by Customs officials. We could not get detailed information about the incident. However, we understand that there was a misunderstanding between Intigam Aliyev and a Customs official at the airport. We hope that the problem will be resolved soon.”
