The arrest of “Alumni Network” Youth Organization Coordinator, ANTV Online TV Leader Emin Milli and one of “OL” Youth Organization’s coordinators, well-known video-blogger Adnan Hajizade is now confirmed to be related to provocation and to information and video-footage they placed on the internet.
After their arrest, Emin Milli’s Facebook account has been shut down. The Coordination Group for Defense Committee that was established in connection with the arrest of young bloggers has conducted an investigation on this issue. Group’s coordinator, independent lawyer Erkin Gadirli told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that Emin Milli’s wife sent a link to his friends about the arrest via the network after the young activist was detained. Then the account was shut down completely.
The Committee contacted Facebook network administration via email and phone. “First they said that the system accepted the link related to the arrest as spam and therefore the account was closed. They will investigate this issue and will give more information about it,” said E.Gadirli adding that they will appeal to Facebook network administration again if they don’t give an answer in the near future.
