IRFS’ WEB-JOURNALISM TRAININGS CONCLUDES, 22 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE CERTIFICATES

Today (22 August) a three-week web-journalism training course conducted by the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety, with funding from the Council of Europe and European Commission, concluded.

The course covered a wide variety of topics including creating internet TV and radio sites, using photos, video and sound recordings, blogging, website design, internet security, online marketing, media rights, and journalism ethics. Twenty-two participants successfully completed the course and were presented certificates today.

Representatives of "Khural" Newspaper, "Bizim Yol" Newspaper, "Alma" Newspaper, "Azerfoto" Agency, Nakhchivan NGO Development Resource Center, and "Dalga" Youth Movement, as well as journalism students and others participated in the course. Web Editor Anton Chiriaev from Radio Liberty in Prague, along with local trainers carried out the theoretical and practical classes.
