ISMAYIL OMAROV ELECTED PUBLIC TV’S DIRECTOR SECOND TIME

Today, 16 April, at the National TV and Radio Council (NTRC), Ismayil Omarov was elected the director of the Public TV and Radio Broadcasting Company’s Head Director for the second time.      

The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety was told by Public TV’s Chairman Jahangir Mammadli that Ismayil Omarov, whose term as Public TV Director was over, ATV news editor Bahruz Maharramov and “Jarchi” TV Film (Public TV) Director Azad Mammadov submitted their documents to participate in the competition for the head director position of Public TV. Bahruz Mammadli rescinded his candidacy three days ago.
“Among two candidates Ismayil Omarov was elected unanimously by the Broadcasting Company,” added J. Mammadov.
