Yesterday lawyer Isakhan Ashurov visited “Gundalik Azerbayjan” and “Realny Azerbayjan” newspapers’ Chief Editor Eynulla in Prison #12.
Ashurov told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that Fatullayev has been moved to the sanitary section of the prison. Ashurov also noted that Fatullayev rights are being violated, people close to the editor are unable to visit him in prison, and the editor is not given opposition and independent newspapers in prison. As a result of this, Ashurov has sent a written appeal to the leadership of Prison #12 and the head of the Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service.
