Yesterday Lider TV channel presented documents to participate in the tender announced by the National TV and Radio Council (NTRC) for the creation of a new sports channel.
According to Mediaforum, MTRC Chairman Nushirvan Maharramli also said another company has also called and inquired about participating in the tender, however no further steps have been taken by this company.
Prior this, Maharramli reported to IRFS that state TV channel AZTV is also participating in the tender. The new sport TV channel is intended to strengthen the Olympic movement in Azerbaijan and to showcase the government’s increased attention on sports, according to the NTRC.
