The Minister of Interior has provided “Azadlig” newspaper journalist Agil Khalil (Khalilov) with two solider from the Quick Reaction Police Regiment to act as bodyguards.
Khalil told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
According to Khalil, these two policemen go everywhere with him during the day.
Recall that on 22 February 2008 Agil Khalil was beaten in “Zeytun Baglari” (Olive Gardens) by two people from the National Security Ministry while he was reporting, on 13 March he was stabbed in the chest and in early May it was reported that someone tried to push him into the path of an oncoming subway car and then tried to kidnap him.
