The “Human Rights and Media Monitoring” Public Union sent documents to the Ministry of Justice of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic regarding its state registration; two months have passed and there has not been a response from the Ministry.
The Institute for Reporters` Freedom and Safety was told this by the public union chairman Hakimeldostu Mehdiyev.
“I appealed to the Ministry of Justice In Nakhchivan. More than two months have passed. However, they did not send response to us yet. The founders appealed to the Ministry several times, with the Ministry promising to respond. Registration of this organization is intentionally delayed and they refuse to give information whether the organization is registered” said H.Mehdiyev.
He also said that the organization will sue the Ministry of Justice of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Human Rights and Media Monitoring Public Union was founded on the 5th of May of this year, and documents regarding state registration were sent to the Justice Ministry on the 20th of May, 2010.
