New Positions Established in Connection with First Vice-President’s Activity

> Amendments have been introduced to the Law on Civil Service.

At the 25 April meeting of Milli Meclis (Parliament), amendments were made to the Law on Civil Service. Chairman of Parliament’s Legal Policy and State Building Committee Ali Huseynli noted that the amendment was introduced, in line with the amendments passed to the Azerbaijani Constitution at the popular vote (referendum) on 26 September 2016, to determine the status and guarantees of the civil servants serving the newly established First Vice-President and their classification in the state agency.

According to the amendment, new structures, as well as administrative and auxiliary positions are being established in the management. The administrative positions include the head of the agency directly ensuring the activity of the head of the Azerbaijani state, head of the structural department directly ensuring the activity of first vice-president of Azerbaijan, and advisors in the agency directly ensuring the activity of the head of the Azerbaijani state.

The auxiliary positions include deputy head of the agency directly ensuring the activity of the President, deputy head of the structural department directly ensuring the activity of first vice-president of Azerbaijan, as well as assistant to the first vice-president of Azerbaijan.
