ONE MORE LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST “NOTA” NEWSPAPER

Today, 26 May, Ministry of Interior Internal Army Deputy on Home Front, Chief of Equipment Supply Department, General Fakhraddin Samadov has filed a lawsuit against “Nota” Newspaper Editor-in-chief Sardar Alibeyli under article 147.2 (accusing someone of grave or especially grave crimes) of the Criminal Code. S. Alibeyli told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that the lawsuit stems from author and investigative articles published in the last four editions of the newspaper about the Internal Army.

According S. Alibeyli, Khatai District Court Judge Leyla Talibova called and told him about this. “”The judge invited me to the court via phone call,” said Alibeyli. “However, I refused this invitation and told her that I will come to the court after I receive an official invitation.”
