PRELIMINARY HEARING AGAINST “NOTA” NEWSPAPER EDITOR-IN-CHIEF POSTPONED

Today, 6 May, in the Khatai District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Hikmat Huseynov, a preliminary hearing was scheduled to take place on the lawsuit of Deputy Minister of Interior, Internal Army Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov against “Nota” Newspaper editor-in-chief Sardar Alibeyli in the special format under article 147.2 (libel) of the Criminal Code.

However, the judge postponed the hearing until 12 May at 4:00 p.m. because no one on behalf of the plaintiff took part in the hearing.
Deputy Minister of Interior, Internal Army Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov has filed a lawsuit against “Nota” Newspaper editor-in-chief Sardar Alibeyli  in the special format under article 147.2 (libel in accusing someone of grave or especially grave crime) of the Criminal Code claiming that the articles about the Internal troops contained writings damaging to his honor and dignity and his reputation.
