Azerbaijan’s Press Council appealed to Baku Appellate Court about the four year prison sentence handed down to “Azadlig” Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ganimat Zahid.
According to today’s edition of “Baku Zaman” Newspaper, in the appeal the Press Council stressed its concern about the journalist’s imprisonment and asks the court to replace Zahid’s four-year prison sentence with a lighter punishment.
