PRESS COUNCIL GIVES “BOYUK NAKHCHIVAN” NEWSPAPER WARNING

The Press Council has warned “Boyuk Nakhchivan” newspaper.

According to APA, this stemmed from article “Zengi Lyceum is Gnawing Chain’” published in the 21 August – 1 September edition of the newspaper.

According to the article, the leadership of Zengi lyceum sent a complaint letter to the council regarding this article run in “Boyuk Nakhchivan” Newspaper. The appeal was considered during a meeting of Council Commission on Complaints and a relevant opinion was issued. “In the opinion, it is stated that facts have been misrepresented intentionally, and defamatory views have been presented. And sending the same edition to that school and other incidents were evaluated as “racketeering.” It is also noted that if “Boyuk Nakhchivan” Newspaper approaches ethic principles indifferently in the future, the Council will take measures against the newspaper in accordance with legislation.”
