R. HAJIBEYLI’S APPEAL TO BE CONSIDERED NEXT MONTH

The court hearing on the appeal against the decision to destroy the book "Public TV in the Press’ Mirror," which was supposed to take place today in the Appellate Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Rashadat Agayeva, was postponed.

This decision was adopted because Public TV’s representative didn’t show up at the hearing.
The next hearing on this case is now scheduled for 2 April at 3:00 pm.
Recall that on 13 November 2007 Binegedi District Court Judge Allahveren Hasanov adopted a decision to destroy the book "Public TV in the Press’ Mirror" composed by "Azadlig" newspaper editor Rovshan Hajili. On 20 February 2007 Public TV appealed to the court requesting that the book be deemed disgraceful for its business authority, to take the book out of circulation and destroyed, the book’s republication should be banned and Rovshan Hajibeyli should apologize to Public TV’s staff. The court provided fulfilled the claim and Rovshan Hajili appealed to the Appellate court to file a complaint against the decision.
