RAMIZ MEHDIYEV: THERE IS NO INTENTION TO PARDON IMPRISONED JOURNALISTS

“Press freedom in Azerbaijan is very good,” Presidential Administration Chief Ramiz Mehdiyev told journalists today (May 3), according to Trend News Agency.

“In comparison with the early 90s, in Azerbaijan press freedom is very widespread,” said Mehdiyev. “The people claiming that the press is oppressed want to exert pressure on Azerbaijan in this manner.”

Mehdiyev then went onto the say that there is no intention to pardon the imprisoned journalists.
