THOUGHT ABOUT NO NEED FOR “RADIO LIBERTY” NOT TRUE

Yesterday Azerbaijan Service of “Radio Liberty” made explanation about comments that were made about shutting down the radio service.

It is noted in the explanation that there are no grounds for the estimations made about the closure of the radio. The president Ilham Aliyev told the president of “Radio Liberty” that he supports foreign broadcastings. Gedmin exchanged opinions about this in his different meetings and said that there’s no restriction on broadcasting radio programs that operate according to local legislation. Information about President Ilham Aliyev’s comment (“Maybe there’s no need for the radio?”) that was run in the press doesn’t reflect the truth.
