TURKISH TV CHANNEL TRT EXPANDING ITS BROADCASTING IN AZERBAIJAN

The Turkish TV channel TRT is expanding its broadcasting in Azerbaijan, and has already brought some equipment into Azerbaijan to achieve this.

"Teleradio" Production Union of Azerbaijan's Communications and Information Technologies Ministry told this to APA-Economics. At present approximately 40-45 percent of Azerbaijan's population can view TRT, and the channel is broadcast only Baku, Absheron and Ganja.
 
According to APA –Economics, on the basis of a technical services agreement signed on 24 January between the Turk Cooperation and Development Agency of the Administration of Turkey's Prime Minister, Azerbaijan's Communications and Information Techonlogy Ministry, and Azerbaijan's National Television and Radio Council, TRT must be broadcast to 90 percent of the population in Azerbaijan.
