Today, at IRFS press center, Union of Editors discussed the criminal case launched against Gundam Khabar newspaper based on an appeal filed by Press Council and appeals to relevant agencies regarding the harassment of journalist Idrak Abbasov`s family members.
In the meeting, it was decided to investigate the charge brought against Gundam Khabar. Besides, the editors decided organize protection of Idrak Abbasov`s family’s rights; to visit the hospital to learn the situation of the family’s treatment in the hospital; and to visit Binagadi Oil Company which took down the house belonging to the journalist’s parents.
