On the evening of September 5th, access to the website of opposition newsaper Azadlig was restricted, editor Rovshan Hajiyev reported to IRFS.
He said that the reason could be the newspaper coverage of Wikileaks-leaked information concerning Azerbaijan. “I believe that the problems are connected with an article on Wikileaks information about the registration of the President Ilham Aliyev’s wealth. As of yesterday, we had problems with access to the website. The website has suffered hacking attacks in the past.”
