Today, 15 April, in the press center of the Institute for Reporters Freedom and Safety, the Working Group to fight against irregularities in the operation of the State Support Council to Non-Governmental Organizations and the State Support Fund to the Development of Media conducted a press conference.
Working Group Coordinator Jasur Sumerinli, who is the Center for Military Investigations of Journalists "Doktrina” Chairman, said that they sent an appeal to President Ilham Aliyev and the Chamber of Accounts regarding irregularities in the operation of the State Support Council to NGOs and State Support Fund to the Development of Media.
The Working Group sent an information inquiry to the State Support Council to NGOs and the State Support Council to the Development of Media and requested information regarding the budget of several winning projects and their activities.
“We will monitor the execution of these projects,” added J.Sumerinli who then noted that that if the information inquiries are not responded within a fixed time, they will appeal to court.
