An editor-in-chief will be appointed to "Yeni Azerbaijan" Newspaper after Yeni Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Administrative Board conducts a discussion about this matter.
YAP Executive Secretary Assistant Siyavush Novruzov told this to "Olaylar" Information Agency. According to Novruzov, YAP Executive Secretary Assistant Mubariz Gurbanli is acting as chief editor at present.
S. Novruzov also expressed his opinion about dismissal of A. Hasanoglu from the newspaper. He said, "The Administrative Board discussed the activity of the newspaper and came to a decision that it doesn't serve the interest of the party. Therefore the chief editor of the newspaper was dismissed, because the dissemination of the party’s policies through the newspaper and the reflection of the activity of some organizations didn't meet requirements. A financial inspection is currently being carried out in the newspaper, and no problems have been found in this area yet."
