“YENI MUSAVAT” REVEALS REASONS WHY IT HAS REFUSED FROM PRINTING SERVICES OF “CHAP EVI”

“Chap Evi” Publishing House is still in danger of being closed.

“Yeni Musavat” Newspaper has already ceased cooperation with “Chap Evi.” The Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety was told this by “Yeni Musavat” Newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Rauf Arifoglu. The newspaper is no longer printed at “Chap Evi” because the equipment is in bad condition, said Arifoglu.
“The quality of our newspaper has been very low lately,” said Arifoglu. “Our readers pointed this out as well, and taking this into consideration, we decided to leave ‘Chap Evi’,” said R. Arifoglu. He noted that after the publishing house is equipped with new equipment they will publish their newspaper there again.
At present, only “Bizim Yol” and several regional newspapers are published at “Chap Evi.”
IRFS contacted “Bizim Yol” Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Baheddin Haziyev in connection with this issue. Haziyev stated that they will continue publishing their newspaper at “Chap Evi” Publishing House. “I think everyone that supports the free media should continue publishing their newspapers at this publishing house,” said Haziyev.
