Today, 3 March, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Metanet Hajiyeva, a hearing on the court case (under article 221.1 of the Criminal Code – hooliganism) against the assistant editor-in chief of "Korrupsiya ve Jamiyyat" (Corruption and Society) Journal Mubariz Masimoglu and citizen Shakir Abbasov was postponed.
Judge Matanat Hajiyeva left for vacation and therefore, Judge Tahir Ismayilov will consider the case.
Noting that he is not familiar with the case, Judge Tahir Ismayilov postponed the hearing until 12 March at noon.
This lawsuit stems from a dispute which happened on a public bus between assistant editor-in chief of "Korrupsiya ve Jamiyyat" Journal Mubariz Masimoglu, Maleyka Asadova and Emil Jarchiyev in August 2008. A lawsuit has been filed against Mubariz Masimoglu in the Yasamal District Police Department under article 221.2 (hooliganism).
