HEARING HELD ON LAWSUIT OF MP AGAINST MINISTRY

Yesterday, 13 April, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Khagani Mammadov, a hearing was held on the lawsuit of MP Penah Huseyn against the Minister of Labor and Social Security of Population, Fuzuli Alakbarov, according to Yeni Musavat newspaper.

P.Huseyn said in the hearing that he appealed to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Population verbally, and in writing in 2007 and requested the list with the names of people living in Sabirabad and receiving targeted social assistance, their addresses, the sum of the aid they received and the time when the commission issued decisions. Panahov noted that, in general, the Ministry did not respond to the written inquiry addressed on 23 August, 2007. Although the inquiries sent before and after this date were responded to in general, information regarding the people who received targeted social assistance was not given.
The defendant’s representative said that the letter dated 23 August, 2007 did not reach the Ministry.  P.Huseyn presented the official document to the court confirming that the letter was delivered to the address and to whom and when it was presented.
The judge asked the representative of the Ministry to present the original letters sent to the Ministry by P.Huseyn at different times to the court and scheduled the next hearing for 22 April at 2.30 p.m.
