In Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic provocation is being prepared against IRFS regional correspondents Elman Abbasov and Hakimeldostu Mehdiyev.
Several days ago, one of close relatives told E.Abbasov that provocation is being prepared against the journalist by local administrative organs. According to the reports, using Elman Abbasov’s brother-in-law, I group Disabled Shujaet Musaoglu’s illness they are preparing a provocative action plan via Musaoglu’s wife Gultakin Aliyeva. Allegedly G.Aliyeva has received threatening calls trying to make her sign a document against E.Abbasov (accusing him in crime against government).
A similar incident happened against IRFS regional correspondent hakimeldostu Mehdiyev several days ago. One of the closest people to the journalist was given a cartridge by Sharur District Police Department Head Mammad Huseynov and was asked to install in H.Mehdiyev’s car.
IRFS Nakhchivan regional correspondents and Nakhchivan Democracy and NGO Development Resource Center have already addressed an open letter to law enforcement organs asking for an end to provocation against journalists in Nakhchivan.
