SALE OF CRITICAL NEWSPAPERS BANNED IN LANKERAN

“The ban on the sale of critical newspapers in Lankeran continues.”

“24 Saat” Newspaper’s Lankeran correspondent Rahim Hashimli told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. According to Hashimli, today, 7 August, he and his colleagues conducted monitoring and determined that “24 Saat,” “Bizim Yol,” “Nota Bene,” and other newspapers that have continuously been publishing critical articles about Lankeran are not for sale.
Hashimli said that an order was given not to even offer these newspapers for sale. “The salesmen avoid saying who gave the order,” said Hashimli. “They say if they offer the newspapers they will be dismissed from their jobs.”
