4 LAWSUITS BY INTERNAL ARMY FILED AGAINST “NOTA” NEWSPAPER

Today, 6 July, in the Nizami District Court, a hearing was held on three lawsuits filed in special format against “Nota” newspaper.

Under the chairmanship of Judge Azer Ismayilov a hearing was held on the lawsuit of Internal Army Deputy Commander Fakhraddin Samadov filed in special format against “Nota” newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Substitute Sardar Alibeyli. Judge A.Ismayilov said that the separate lawsuits will be joined in one trial because four lawsuits have been filed in connection with the same article. Therefore the judge scheduled the next hearing for 10 July at 4:00 p.m.
During a preliminary hearing held under the chairmanship of Judge Jahangir Yusifov, the lawsuit of Internal Army Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov against “Nota” newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Substitute Sardar Alibeyli under article 147.2 (libel in accusing someone of grave or especially grave crime) of the Crminal Code was accepted for consideration and the hearing on this case was scheduled for 13 July at 4:00 p.m.
During a preliminary hearing held under the chairmanship of Judge Mehriban Garayeva, the lawsuit of Internal Army Financial Manager Namig Poladov against “Nota” newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief Substitute Sardar Alibeyli under article 147.2 (libel in accusing someone of grave or especially grave crime) of the Crminal Code was accepted for consideration and the hearing on this case was scheduled for 10 July at 4:00 p.m.
Internal Army Commander, General-Lieutenant Zakir Hasanov, Internal Army Deputy Commander Fakhraddin Samadov, Internal Army Financial Manager Namig Poladov and Internal Army Staff Department Head, Colonel Nasir Huseynov have filed a lawsuit against Sardar Alibeyli in the special format under article 147.2 (libel in accusing someone of grave or especially grave crime) of the Criminal Code claiming that the articles about the Internal troops published in the latest editions of the newspaper contained writings damaging to their honor and dignity and their reputation.
