On 26 May, in Baku Garadagh Region’s Garaheybet zone, poisoning was registered in N Military unit located in General Army Training Center and a group of journalists who were there in connection with the incident were harassed by soldiers.
The Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety was told this by”Yeni Musavat” Newspaper employee Khalid Kazimli, who also was at the site of the incident.
“They tried not to let me and a group of journalists in the site. A civilian-clothed person, who looked about 23 years old, attempted to take away Radio Liberty’s correspondent Saadat Akifgizi telephone using force,” said Kazimli. “Our newspaper’s employee Zabil Mugabiloglu and I intervened. That person got angry and gave an order to ‘take the journalists in.’ However, the order was not fulfilled because of mass commotion.”
