Amnesty International Organization congratulated imprisoned Editor-in-chief of “Gundalik Azerbayjan” and “Realny Azerbayjan” newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev (held in prison #12) in connection with campaign they conducted.
The campaign conducted by the organization is called “Eynulla Fatullayev, You will not be forgotten.”
Fatullayev’s father Emin Fatullayev, who visited the editor-in-chief today, told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety. According to E. Fatullayev, cards have been sent to Fatullayev from USA, Japan, Belgium, and other countries.
“During the meeting, I told him that he was chosen a member of the “PEN” Club. He was very happy about this,” said E.Fatullayev. “However, he still does not get newspapers. Lawyer Isakhan Ashurov sent him newspapers via regular mail a few days ago. But the newspapers have not reached him yet.”
