15 September, 2012 Mr. Diogo Pinto, secretary general of the Europe Movement International, is on a business trip to Azerbaijan. In frames of his visit, Mr. Pinto will check the work of Azerbaijani representation of the Europe Movement International, and will also meet with leaders of the international organizations operating in Azerbaijan (OSCE, European Union, etc), and representatives of state structures and civil society institutes, to discuss human rights and democracy issues in Azerbaijan.
As an end result of his visit, Mr. Diogo Pinto will prepare a report on the relevant issues (work of EMI in Azerbaijan, general situation in the country).
Mr. Diogo Pinto will hold a press conference in the IRFS office on 15 September, 2012, 11:00am, to speak on the above issues, and will answer the question from journalists.
Civil society reps and other interested parties are invited to attend.
