APPEAL BY JOURNALISTS WHO RECEIVED DEATH THREATS IS SENT TO MINISTRY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS
An appeal by journalists who received death threats was sent to Ministry of Internal Affairs on July 31. Yeni Musavat newspaper reported on the story today.
According to Yeni Musavat newspaper, the appeal requested that the threats be investigated. Zamin Haji, Murad Kohnegala, and Sevinj Telmangizi from Yeni Musavat newspapers are three of the victims.
A group of journalists in the country received an email from “firstname.lastname@example.org”. This was warning letter for journalists. The letter warned them that one journalist would be killed in the coming days. “Don’t ignore this. It will happen. If I can go abroad, I will write to you about the secrets of Rashad`s killing. I have video footage. Eighteen journalists were listed in the letter, which emphasized that one of them will be killed.
