Azerbaijan Television and Radio Programming Closed Stock Company PRESS Service Head Khatira Gasimova confirmed that this company sent a warning letter to VOA TV.
According to Mediaforum site, Gasimova stated that a letter received from the National Television and Radio Council prompted this. In the letter, it was noted that according to the council, the broadcasting of foreign TV and Radios via local frequencies contradicts legislation.
VOA program News Flash is broadcast on AZTV. Therefore AzTV sent a warning letter to VOA stating that as of December 31 it will cease the broadcasts of the VOA program News Flash on AZTV.
