Yesterday, 1 February, in the meeting of Milli Mejlis (Parliament), changes were made to the Administrative Penal Code, according to the “Mediaforum” news website.
According to the change made to the article 187-1 (Violation of the legislation on TV and Radio Broadcasting) of APC, if TV and radio broadcasters violate the demands of the law, and in turn do not broadcast the information regarding the theme of the relevant disciplinary measures applied to them within a fixed amount of time, then those TV and radio broadcasters will be held responsible. Ranking officials violating the requirements of the law can be fined between three hundred AZN to five hundred AZN. Legal persons can be fined between a thousand AZN up two thousand AZN.
