Today, 15 December, the Yasamal District Court held a hearing on Yasamal District Executive Administration Head Ibrahim Mehdiyev’s criminal lawsuit against citizen Yagub Muradzade. Judge Elchin Gurbanov announced the judgment.
According to the judgment, Muradzade faced 500 AZN fine for charge based on Article 147.1 () of Criminal Code, received acquittal for charge based on Article 147.2 () and faced another 1000 AZN fine for charge based on Article 148.
Muradzade’s lawyer Alibaba Rzayev told IRFS that they would be filing against the decision.

I.Mehdiyev sued Yagub Muradzade in a criminal lawsuit under articles 147 (defamation) and 148 (insult) of the Criminal Code claiming that he was insulted and defamed in the complaint letters about Mehdiyev written by Yagub Muradzade to different state bodies.
Y. Muradzade stated that he was the editor of Yeni Gazet, which was published from 2004 to 2006 but is not currently in operation.
