Yasamal district court has prohibited press distribution firms from paying to Azadliq the money received from the sale of the newspaper, deputy chief editor of the newspaper Rahim Hajiyev told IRFS today (November 01).
According to Hajiyev, the firms were required to transfer all the money to the newspaper’s bank account (which has recently been frozen for recovering a court-ordered fine) and situation is very critical.
“Preventing Azadliq from receiving cash at all is a signal to complete closure of the newspaper. It is impossible to complain against this, because it is evident that this order comes from the top” said Hajiyev.
