
Union’s Chairman Jamshid Guliyev said that the organization launched its activity in 2005 and announced a competition the same year which has been concluded today.
“Our aim in carrying out this project was to bring the ecological problems to surface and to warn public figures about it,” said Guliyev. “As journalists, we did our best.”
Saying that four organizations from Azerbaijan became winners in the solution of ecological problems, J.Guliyev noted that eighteen investigative journalists conducting research on ecology participated in the contest.
Yeni Dalga studio head Ilham Tumas won the first place, Ses Information Agency Editor Elchin Bayramli won the second place, Lent.az site employee Parvin Abbasov took the third place and “24 Saat” Newspaper employee Nizami Huseynov won the fourth place. The winners received money awards.
