“The reason for this is a series of articles in the newspaper about the destruction of a house intended for weddings and funerals built in font of the building situated on Alakbar Alakbarov Street 79, in the Yasamal district, on the order of Safar Abiyev and colonel Mehman Hajaliyev, Head of Apartment Exploitation Office of the Defense Ministry,” said Huseynli.
A lawsuit was filed in the Yasamal district Court against “Gundalik Baki” newspaper by soldier Mursalov Fardi Teyyub oglu, who is currently serving in the Apartment Exploitation Military Unit of the Defense Ministry because of the article “Mehman Hajaliyev’s illegal actions don’t end,” which was run in “Gundalik Baki” newspaper on 8 April 2008. Hajiyev is seeking the publishing of a refutation and the institution of a 50,0000 AZN fine against the newspaper.
