Yesterday, 13 April, Chairman of Azerbaijan Committee Against Torture Elchin Behbudov sent a thank you letter to Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. Behbudov told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
In his letter, Behbudov expressed deep gratitude to the president for making efforts to free “Tezadlar” Newspaper’s Editor-in-chief Asif Merzili and stated that he hopes these attempts will continue and other imprisoned journalists, especially Eynulla Fatullayev and Ganimat Zahid, will also be released soon.
