Yesterday, 13 April, in the Yasamal District Court, under the chairmanship of Judge Svetlana Ahmedova, a hearing was held on the lawsuit of “Bayram M” MMC to defend the company’s honor and dignity from "Gundalik Baki" Newspaper.
We note that during the last hearing the defense submitted a written motion to the judge to send the articles in question "Narcotics Itinerary in the South" and "Narcotics Itinerary in the South – 2," for linguistic forensic assessment. The motion was fulfilled during yesterday’s hearing, and the articles were sent for linguistic assessment.
This lawsuit stems from the articles "Narcotics Itinerary in the South" published in the newspaper on 14 January 2009 and "Narcotics Itinerary in the South – 2" published in the newspaper on 22 January, 2009. The plaintiff is seeking the publication of a refutation, an apology from the newspaper, and 1 000000 (1 million) AZN for the company in compensation for moral damages from the newspaper.
