Today (4 July) the Chairman of the Azerbaijan Committee against Torture Elchin Behbudov visited imprisoned "Bizim Yol" newspaper correspondent Mushfig Huseynov in the Prison # 2 and "Azadlig" newspaper Editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid in the Prison #17.
Behbudov told the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety that the two did not complain about prison conditions or the attitude of prison employees towards them.
E. Behbudov said that Ganimat Zahid studies English in prison.
Four journalists are currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan: "Azadlig" newspaper satiric/journalist Sakit Zahidov, the editor-in-chief of "Realniy Azerbaijan" and "Gundalik Azerbaijan" newspapers Eynulla Fatullayev, "Bizim Yol" newspaper correspondent Mushfig Huseynov and "Azadlig" newspaper editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid.
