Today (4 July) Milli Mejlis conducted its last meeting of summer session. According to "Mediaforum" site, parliamentarian Panah Huseyn asserted that the release of imprisoned journalists, especially during an election year, is crucial.
Igbal Agazade, another parliamentarian, also touched this issue, and suggested that an appeal be sent to the president on behalf of the Milli Mejlis to release the imprisoned journalists.
Recall that during the meeting of Milli Mejlis conducted on 24 June parliamentarian Jamil Hasanli asked Parliament Speaker Oktay Asadov to appeal to the president on behalf of him and a group of deputies to free the imprisoned journalists. Fazil Gazanfaroglu and Panah Huseyn supported this proposal.
