“Problems related to journalists persist in Azerbaijan”.
According to “Radio Liberty”, Elmira Suleymanova, Azerbaijan’s Commissioner on Human Rights, said this in 6th International conference of ombudsmans in Baku.
According to the ombudsman, they are concerned about the imprisonment of the journalists, “Three journalists are in prison and we hope that some steps will be taken about this.”
Elmira Suleymanova said that there are problems related to human rights in some areas in Azerbaijan. That is why they invited local ministry representatives to the event so they can be familiar with the existing problems.
6th Baku Conference of Ombudsmans will conclude on 19 June.
