Emin Milli’s brother-in-law denies charges

On December 28, Baku Grave Crimes Court, chaired by judge Afgan Hajiyev, continued the hearing on the case of Nazim Agabeyov, the brother-in-law of Meydan TV director Emin Milli.

At the hearing, the public prosecutor announced the indictment. Nazim Agabeyov stands accused of obtaining and possessing six grams of heroin with the aim to resell.

The judge then asked if the indictment was clear to Nazim Agabeyov. Agabeyov said that the indictment was clear, but he was not guilty. 

 

The court invited Agabeyov to testify, but he said he was not ready and requested that the hearing be postponed.

 

The presiding judge scheduled the next hearing for January 5, 2016, 10.00am. 

 

Background: Nazim Agabeyov was arrested on July 27, 2015 under charges of drug trafficking.
