On 2 March, at 3:00 p.m., Monitor journal’s editor-in-chief Elmar Huseynov’s grave will be visited. After the ceremony candles will be lighted in front of the building where Elmar Huseynov resided.
On 3 March, at 3:00 p.m., in the Azerbaijan Media Center, a debate on the theme “Journalists that were killed” will be held with the participation of students studying in journalism faculties.
On 4 March, in the press center of the Institute for Reporters` Freedom and Safety, a press conference will be held with the participation of families and lawyers of imprisoned journalists.
On 6 March, films dedicated to freedom of speech and press will be demonstrated and discussions will be held on these films.
On 8 March, leaflets, where information regarding freedom of speech and press will be reflected, will be distributed. At least 50 000 leaflets will be disseminated within the framework of this campaign.
On 9 March another debate on freedom of speech and press will be held.
On 10 March, the last day of ten day events, at 10:00 a.m., in the Respublika Luks Hotel, a press conference will be held. Foreign guests will participate in the event.
