Yesterday, 25 January, "Gundelik Azerbaijan" and "Realniy Azerbaijan" newspapers' editor-in-chief Eynulla Fatullayev, who is being held in Prison #12, called his family. The journalist’s father Emin Fatullayev told this to the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety.
“Eynulla Fatullayev is concerned about recent negative tendencies. He expressed concern about the arrest of Zardusht Alizade’s son, the lawsuit against Leyla Yunus and repression against people gathering signatures (Ed. for referendum initiative groups),” said Emin Fatullayev.
Eynulla Fatullayev, who congratulated his father on his birthday, did not complain about his health or prison conditions.
