Today, 7 July, “Monitoring of Elections and Teaching of Democracy Center” (METDC) conducted a forum on the theme “Studying of Social Needs on Improvement of Election Code and Election Legislation.”
The forum was possible with financial support of Great Britain’s Embassy to Azerbaijan, and discussions about forming election commission membership on the basis of equal representation of political parties, voters’ registration during elections, prolonging of pre-election campaigning period and simplifying the registration of local monitors and giving them more rights took place.
