Fuad Gahramanli Opposes Investigative Measure Conducted on His Criminal Case

An investigative measure has been conducted in relation to the criminal case against Fuad Gahramanli, the Deputy Chairman of the opposition party Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (APFP) who was arrested in December 2015, reports his lawyer Nemat Karimli. Karimli added that the charges of making appeals against the state and inciting national, racial, social or religious hatred or hostility are being investigated in the same proceedings as the criminal case launched in connection with Nardaran events (the confrontation that occurred during the police operation on November 26, 2015).

According to Karimli, Fuad Gahramanli, who is currently being held in Baku (Kurdakhani) Detention Facility, is aware of the decisions and opinions of the forensic examinations conducted concerning other accused persons within the criminal case launched in connection with the Nardaran events.

However, Gahramanli refused to sign the documents as the forensic opinions did not relate to his case.
