Yesterday (24 August), imprisoned "Azadlig" Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ganimat Zahid was visited by his wife Ayanda Mursaliyeva in Prison #17.
Ayanda Mursaliyeva told this to the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety. "Ganimat doesn't have any complaints about the prison conditions or the attitude of prison employees towards him," said Mursaliyeva. “His major complaint is about his health," said Mursaliyeva.”
According to Ayanda Mursaliyeva, Zahid is suffering from rheumatism and has sharp pain in his legs. “Ganimat talked to physician about his leg pain. After medical examination, the doctor prescribed him medicine and I took the medicine to him yesterday (24 August),” said Mursaliyeva.
