Yesterday (28 July) “Azadlig” Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Ganimat Zahid’s wife Ayanda Mursaliyeva visited her husband in Prison #17.
A. Mursaliyeva told the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety that G. Zahidov mostly complains about rheumatism pains. “The pain in his knees has worsened during the last days. Since there are no conditions in the prison for his treatment, he has been using painkillers and rheumatism ointment I have brought for him,” she added.
G.Zahid told his wife that he would very much like to participate in the hearing on manuscripts which were taken from him. However, he mentioned that he won’t be taken there. “If they permit it, I definitely want to participate in the hearing; because I know the details of the case better than anybody,” he said.
