Habil Valiyev denied this and stated that the lawsuit is unfounded.
Then "Gundalik Baki" Newspaper's lawyer and representative Zaur Ibrahimov asked the judge for some time so he can make a written statement.
Considering the appeal of the representative, Judge Ahmedova scheduled the next hearing for 15 April at 5:00 p.m.
This lawsuit stems from articles "Narcotics Itinerary in the South" published in the newspaper on 14 January 2009 and "Narcotics Itinerary in the South – 2" published in the newspaper on 22 January, 2009. The plaintiff is seeking the publication of a refutation, an apology from the newspaper, and 1 million AZN from Editor-in-Chief Habil Valiyev for the company in compensation for moral damages.
